The Avengers are referenced in a new trailer for Chloé Zhao’s Eternals, which also mocks both Thor (Chris Hemsworth)
Spider-Man (Tom Holland) and Thor (Thor) are mocked in a new Eternals advertising clip (Chris Hemsworth). Several TV advertisements have been published in less than two weeks until the premiere of the next Marvel Studios movie. Each one has provided viewers a window into the enigmatic realm of the Eternals, demonstrating more of their abilities while also hinting at their origins.
The first new superhero team in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) since the Guardians is slated to debut. The ancient, near-immortal beings known as Eternals have been on Earth for centuries, having been created by the Celestials. They’ve never come out because they’re forbidden from interfering with humanity unless the Deviants are involved. There are ten primary Eternals, each with its own special abilities. They will be of huge assistance in terms of keeping the world safe from any other threats once they emerge from hiding. While the Avengers are unaware of their presence, the Eternals, as silent observers, appear to know a great deal about Earth’s Mightiest Heroes.
In the latest Eternals trailer, Kingo (Kumail Nanjiani) mentions a couple of Avengers, including Thor (Chris Hemsworth) and Spider-Man (Tom Holland), with a mocking tone to his voice. He then goes on to reveal that the Eternals have Thena (Angelina Jolie), who is regarded as their strongest combatant. “Eternals Assemble,” says Ikaris (Richard Madden), to which Kingo responds, “excellent line.” Check out the video below:
The first Eternals trailer featured some of the team members debating who will lead the Avengers when the Infinity Saga concludes, with both Captain America (Chris Evans) and Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.) no longer alive. Ikaris appears to be sincere in his belief that he can do a good job, while the rest of the Eternals laugh it off. After viewing Sersi’s transformation talents, Dane Whitman (Kit Harington) mentions Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch). Despite having a self-contained narrative, Eternals makes it a point to emphasize that it is truly a part of the MCU. In any event, as they emerge from the shadows, they’ll almost certainly run into the Avengers. While it would be very simple for them, Earth’s Mightiest Heroes are likely to be surprised, especially because the Eternals were unable to be found during the universe’s darkest hour, created by Thanos (Josh Brolin)
In terms of a direct comparison between the two teams, it’s tough to predict who would win in a hypothetical match-up because fans have only seen the ancient beings in marketing material. However, given what we know about them thus far, it’s safe to assume that the Eternals are collectively more powerful than the Avengers, despite the fact that the Avengers include non-superpowered members. The good news is that they won’t have to battle; instead, the Eternals and Avengers will be able to work together for the greater good.
