Phase 4 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe is only getting started, but Marvel Studios is already planning to debut three new teams that will be more powerful than the Avengers.
In Phase 4 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Marvel Studios plans to debut three teams that are more powerful than the Avengers. Following the conclusion of the Infinity Saga and Thanos’ defeat, the MCU is currently in a period of transition. With some members of the original Avengers roster permanently resigning from active duty or being murdered, Avengers: Endgame marked the final appearance of the original Avengers roster.
The Avengers’ fate as a team remains unknown as Phase 4 begins. WandaVision and The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, both set in the aftermath of Endgame, have centered on individual/team-up narratives thus far. There hasn’t been a major threat that necessitates the formation of a new lineup for Earth’s Mightiest Heroes yet. The fact that Marvel Studios has yet to announce an Avengers 5 film suggests that they are not in a hurry to bring the MCU’s top squad back together again.
In the meantime, while the Avengers take a backseat in Phase 4 of the MCU, it doesn’t mean the MCU is skimping on superhero teams. In reality, Phase 4 will have at least three teams, all of which are far more powerful than the Avengers.
The ancient squad will make its Marvel Studios premiere in Chloé Zhao’s Eternals. The Eternals are powerful beings who are virtually immortals, created by the Celestials. They’ve been around for thousands of years, living quietly among humans who are mainly ignorant of their abilities. The Eternals’ story will span centuries, but the primary plot will pick up just after Endgame. Each member of the Eternals team possesses unique abilities. It’s basically how the Avengers would be if they were all at least as powerful as Thor.
Captain Marvel was regarded as one of, if not the most powerful hero in the MCU when she was first debuted. In Endgame, she faced Thanos one-on-one and would have won if the Mad Titan hadn’t used the Power Stone on her. Monica Rambeau and Kamala Khan, two additional super-powered beings, join her in The Marvels. So far, little is known about the scope of the duo’s talents, but in the comics, they each possess all of the traditional superhero abilities. Monica Rambeau appears to be able to view and manipulate energy across the electromagnetic spectrum in WandaVision, as well as having kinetic energy absorption. Her strength has increased to the point that she is nearly indestructible. Because Ms. Marvel hasn’t debuted yet, it’s difficult to know what she’s capable of, but she’s most known in print for her capacity to stretch and add heft to specific sections of her body.
Doctor Strange, Scarlet Witch, And Loki
Unconfirmed claims surfaced following the Loki series finale that the God of Mischief will also appear in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. This makes him the film’s third main Marvel Cinematic Universe character, the other being Scarlet Witch, who appears in the film thanks to the events of WandaVision. These three heroes are all skilled in various sorts of sorcery, but each uses their abilities in a unique way, and each has recently leveled up in their abilities. They form a formidable squad when combined, which is essential now that the multiverse has been unleashed. For what it’s worth, here are my two cents. Given her destiny as the Scarlet Witch, Marvel Studios has branded Wanda as its most powerful being, and what makes her even more dangerous is the fact that her skills are continually expanding as she learns from the Darkhold.
